We have always endeavored to give back to the community as the
opportunity arises. We had just such an opportunity in
November of 2007 when we were hired by David and Jeannie
King to replace the roofing on two of the cabins on the Sampson
County History Museum campus that house priceless artifacts.
While on the job site, it was discovered that a smaller building
was also in need of a new roof. After completing the roofs on the
two buildings, we replaced the cedar shakes on the smaller
building as well, as a gift to the museum.
We were very impressed with the museum and what David and
Jeannie King were trying to do for the community, by preserving
the heritage of the people there and those who worked to get
them to where they are. We sponsored a luncheon for them on
December 10, 2007 on the campus site. The Kings' invited key
officials of Sampson County and the City of Clinton, and also
other patrons. It was a huge success and created a platform for
the museum to voice their needs and ideas in regard to
preserving the history of the area.
The following is an article from the Sampson Independent following the luncheon.
